1978 Duncan Swift arrives on Piano and Tony Pitt returns on Banjo/Guitar.

One of the most prestigious gigs in the band's history when they are invited to perform at the Royal Wedding reception at Buckingham Palace for Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer.

Kenny gave the royal couple the band's performance as a wedding present and received the following letter:

1982

1983

25 years in show business for Kenny Ball and his Jazzmen! Kenny celebrates by having a party and inviting his friends Chris Barber and Acker Bilk along. Here is a picture taken by the press to mark the event:

 

1984

After a brief spell with the band John Fenner makes way for Tony Pitt to return during a tour of Russia.

1985

Duncan Swift is replaced by Martin Litton on Piano. A new takes to the road, the 3 B's - a show featuring the bands of Ball Barber and Bilk:

1986  
1987 Current Piano player Hugh Ledigo joins the band and he remains in the seat today. John Fenner rejoins the band.
